Disney Social Media Moms Celebration “On-the-Road” Chicago #DisneySMMC

Last month I was graciously invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration “On the Road” mini-conference. I was beyond thrilled when I received my invite. Anyone that knows me personally knows that I am a huge Disney fan. I love Disney so much, that for my wedding dress I’d always dreamed of wearing an Ariel inspired Disney gown, but when I got married the style was discontinued. I tried my hardest to find a mermaid gown that was close.  Anyway, there is something special about Disney that touches my heart, from the bright colors to beautiful songs it truly is magical. I also think having two kids will forever keep me a Disney fan.

As a blogger one of my #GOALS is to work more closely Disney. I mean who wouldn’t want to work with the brand the makes your biggest dreams so real. When asked to join the moms at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Chicago, I was elated. Family-focused bloggers from surrounding cities and suburbs gathered for a delicious breakfast and fun conversation filled with pixie dust and magically inspiration to keep us motivated as a mompreneurs.

I had the chance to learn about the latest Disney news, including the happenings at Disney parks,  Disney Cruise Line, Disney Parks Moms Panel, and Disney Vacation Club. I also received social media tips, networking advice and more from an amazing panel of speakers during the conference.

This was one of the best blogging events I’ve had a chance to attend. I learned so much. Kristyn Merkley shared her SEO tips that helped me think about my website in a whole new way.

Jeanette Kaplun of Hispana Global was so inspiring. She reminded us that our blogs are our businesses, how to stay professional and gave us tips for Do’s and Don’t’s of the industry. She was so humble.

We had an inside peak of some of the attractions set to open this summer 2018. If you follow me on Instagram you remember back in  November we had a peek at Toy Story Land which makes guests feel like they’ve shrunk to the size of a toy as they play in Andy’s backyard with their favorite Toy Story pals.

Also coming is Guardian of Galaxy and in fall 2019 Stars Wars: Galaxy Edge. I don’t know about you, but I need to get to Disney Parks immediately. While since I won’t be going to Disney World soon, I was so lucky to win this beautiful Dooney & Burke purse exclusive to Disney Parks, while at the conference. I was crossing my fingers and saying a little silent prayer to win this bag. It is so freakin cute and my new mommy must have bag. I have gotten so many compliments on it. It is so near and dear to me because like I mentioned earlier I have always been a die hard Mickey Mouse fanatic so this was perfect. Thank you #DisneySMMC!

I had a great time and met other amazing bloggers. It was wonderful to be in space with like minded women. Disney is amazing and never in my wildest dreams would I image having a chance to blog about my experience. If you have any questions about Disney or upcoming movies and events please feel free to drop me a note I am happy to help! If I wasn’t one at heart before, I think it is safe to say I am officially a #DisneyMom.
