Newman‘s Own Organic sent our family a generous box of treats to sample. If you know me personally, you know I do not snack a lot and I do not like to give the kids sweet treats too often. We do from time to time enjoy our family movie nights filled with homemade popcorn. If you follow me on Instagram, you will see me laying out my serving platters for the weekend, so yes we indulgence.
However, when it comes to packing their lunches and giving them a healthy balanced diet I like to keep the “junk food” to a minimum. With this in mind, we still packed the little guy’s (Carter) lunch with snacks in moderation. As you can see, the Hermits were a hit in our house. The taste is a mix of spices, fruit and fig. The boys seem to like them. Snacks and treats go a long way to putting a happy smile on everyone’s face. My boys were definitely having fun and I love to know that their healthy in the process.
Carter and my hubby liked the Chocolate Alphabet Cookies. I have to admit they were very tasty. Look at the ingredients. Not bad at all for this label reading mama. Great way to help my picky eater find things he like eats to for lunch.

Packing a few of these in his lunch bag with a banana, apple sauce, chicken, and milk makes a balanced daytime meal for our growing boy.

The cups sizes are so small, yet perfect enough to take the craving away. I only eat one and it is only when the craving calls.
