Having a nighttime routine is important for children. During the COVID pandemic and so many changes to school schedules, it has been even more important for kids to get a good night’s rest.

With my son Carter it’s been difficult trying to get him on a better bed schedule since we’ve been dealing with remote learning. There are some kids that have difficulties falling asleep right away than others and you may have kids that need a little extra assistance with toys. You have to be gentle to each child’s needs and remember this past year has been an emotional roller coaster, especially for their developing brains.

Here are a few of my top tips that I’ve been using to help make bedtime a little easier for us.

Set a Cozy Atmosphere

One thing that’s good for children is to have a “stuffy”, “special teddy”, or a favorite blanket they like to sleep with. Getting comfortable in bed will help them settle down a little bit easier.

Take a bath or shower and slip into something cozy, that always lets my son know its lights out. We love these Pact Dream Big Pajamas they are so SOFT.

Pact Dream Big Pajamas are so comfortable and perfect for his sensitive skin after bedtime. These cute jammies are made of soft, breathable, 100% organic cotton that is made without toxic chemicals and with 91% less water than conventional cotton Just as when they were babies, and toddlers, as they get bigger, kids’ delicate skin still likes the feel of soft things. I know my son does, and a nice comfortable set of pajamas makes for a comfy happy night ?

Why I Like Pact Dream Big Pajamas

Dream Big Pajamas are great for Carter because they fit him great and I love them because:

* Pull-on waistband and banded cuffs at the wrists and ankles.

* A tag-less label on the back to prevent discomfort and skin irritation.

* The fabric is prewashed and shrink resistant.

Pact’s cotton material is Fair Trade Certified and GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. Pact Dream Big Pajamas are available for purchase here in kids’ sizes 18 months to 10.

After you have given out all of the hugs, kisses and got ready to settle your kid down for bed. Sign out make sure you give her sip of water first. The one thing I like to do is go ahead and tell a bedtime story or read your child’s favorite book.

Final Tip to “Goodnight”

My child is an independent reader so some nights he likes to read to himself. I’ve dedicated 20 minutes before bed for him to sit and read silently to himself in a quiet room. Nights don’t always have to go exactly the same but the idea is to make sure that we are letting our children get to bed peacefully, quietly and happy.
