Coming this Fall:”Ghostsitter” By Shelly Brown-Book Review

Author:

ghostsitterWe were recently given the opportunity to read and review the middle grade schooler book “Ghostsitter” by Shelly Brown. The book is intended for grades 4-7th and ages 9-12. I  passed the copy on to my 12 year old daughter and she hasn’t put it down. She enjoyed the book a lot. The characters are intriguing, the plot is exciting, and the book keeps you turning the pages. She recommends it to younger readers because she wasn’t afraid of the story. I thought that was hilarious. She is a lover of horror and mystery novels so this was perfect.  Overall she highly recommends this book to 8-10 year olds. It was an easy and fun read for her.

About “Ghostsitter”

Tiffany Hart dreams of one thing, to be class president. But dreams turn to nightmares when she ends up almost dead in an abandoned slaughterhouse and develops the gift of ghost-seeing. Unfortunately she only knows one person who can help her shake her ghoulish problem, her neighbor and the weirdest boy at school, Justin Henderson. Justin has been seeing spirits since he was nine, a creepy claim that has earned him the privilege of eating lunch by himself for years. Together they start to unravel a mystery with dead orphans, a white witch, and phantom spiders. To save their lives (and afterlives of innocent children) they must face a terrifying specter and a ghastly woman who isn’t afraid of hurting kids, dead or alive.

The book will be released on October 1st for sale on Amazon.  The release date is perfect timing before Halloween. This would make for a spooky read before bedtime or during storytelling time to give kids a few harmless chills. Fun read for kids.
