Wizard World Comic Con 2018 Chicago A Teen’s Perspective

Author:

Recently on August 25th, 2018 I went to Wizard World Comic Con 2018  here is Chicago with my dad. Let me be the first one to tell you that, it was a great experience. I have never been to any gaming expos or comic conventions, so I was completely amazed by everything there. There were so many people walking around in amazing costumes and so many talented independent artists who had booths set up for everyone to see and admire. A lot of the booths had custom work and all of their products were handmade. Including these custom prints down here and some handmade cosplay weapons.

My Experience at Wizard World Comic Con 2018

Of course, since my dad and I are super nerds, the first thing we were attracted to was the video games. Right off the bat, we saw virtual reality, a video game trailer, and even Fortnite tournaments that were set up. One of the games I personally played was the new Tomb Raider game, Shadow of the Tomb, which will be released September 14th. The graphics were amazing and the game was generally really interesting.

We saw multiple comic book stands and tons of merchandise for whatever fandom you’re involved in. They had mystery boxes, plushies, action figures, and clothing. One thing my dad really enjoyed was a replica of the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. I myself took a liking to a replica of the 1967 Chevy Impala from the show Supernatural.

We spent around seven hours in total there and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. My final rating, ten out of ten. I would definitely go again, (and bring a lot more money and some friends!).

I’d recommend it to teenagers who are looking to have a good time with their friends, to families who are going on vacation and want to have some fun cosplaying. Check the schedule to see if Wizard World Comic Con  is coming to a city near you. I will definitely try to make it back next year!
