September brings more than just end of summer sales, back to school routines and the start of Fall. If you notice in your circle of social media birthday notifications or work parties, September is the most popular birth month. According to the The Daily Viz, between September 9-20 are the most popular birthdays in the US over the last 20 years. I would have to agree with September being the most birth month because both my kids were born in September. My son (3) was born September 20th and my daughter (soon to be 14) was born September 27th

I spent a lot of time browsing the store searching for a few “just right items”. It is easy to get lost in Marshalls because they have such an amazing selection of baby items. There is a huge selection of clothes to pick from and a variety of gifts. There was so much to choose from, but I had a plan.
Something Soft and Comfy
A baby’s skin is soft and delicate. It gets very cold here in Chicago and one nice thing to have for mommy and baby on cool fall or winter night is to sit in the rocker with a warm blanket. This blanket is so soft and cozy. My son is 3 years old and I like to use his baby blanket to toss on him when we have family movie night, it also acts as duty on those cooler winter nights. The best part about this blanket is it high quality and only $7.99.

Bath time doesn’t have to be just about water and suds. I like making sure my baby is covered from head-to-toe when he comes out of the tub. Any new mom will appreciate a hooded bath towel. Marshalls has this hooded spa towel that is perfect for keeping your little one warm after bath time. Its soft and snuggly material features an adorable fox with glasses and bow tie. How cute is this? I thought this towel was so adorable. Another great find for only $7.99.
Safety First At Home and Away
As a mom of two, I know and understand the importance of safety. Once your baby becomes mobile they will get into everything. Owning a gate is essential once your little one learns how to crawl. When you are traveling from one house to the next or even for your own home from room to room this gate is perfect. Simply click the gate into place using the quick-release pressure-fit handle. There is no drilling involved. A great find for only $19.99.
Don’t Forget Mom
One of the best things you can give a mom is something special for herself. I headed over to the lingerie section and I found a really nice set for mom. This included a nightgown and robe, perfect for mom to take to the hospital with her or after babily arrives. I took my own nightgown the hospital in my hospital bag. Having your own gown at the hospital makes your stay a little more comfortable especially when you have guests coming to seeing the baby. This gown is great because it comes with a robe it is also cute low in the front so if you are nursing you have quick access for nursing. A perfect with both pieces for only $14.99.
Not bad for my #MarshallsSurprise $50 spending trip. What have for at Marshalls before? With fall fast approaching I am on the lookout for the family some nice fall jackets. Do you have any favorite Marshalls find? If so please share in the comment below.
